HOW IT WORKS
The CRUZR-L has an IP51 rating. This means it offers a good level of protection against both solid objects (like dust) and certain types of liquid ingress (like dripping water).
The "5" indicates it is dust protected. While not entirely dust-tight, dust ingress will not interfere with its operation.
The "1" indicates protection against vertically falling water droplets, such as light condensation or very gentle, straight-down drizzle.
Given its IP51 rating, we do not recommend flying the CRUZR-L in the rain, especially anything more than very light, vertical drizzle. This rating does not provide protection against spraying water (like wind-blown rain) or heavy rainfall, which could damage internal components and void your warranty.
If your CRUZR-L unexpectedly encounters rain during flight, land the drone immediately and safely. Once landed, power off the drone, remove the battery, and thoroughly wipe down the exterior with a clean, dry cloth. Allow the drone to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area before attempting to power it on again. If you have any concerns about potential water damage, please contact our customer support.
To ensure safe and optimal operation of your Fowado CRUZR-L, it is crucial to prepare a suitable takeoff and landing area. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
Area Size: Reserve a minimum flat, unobstructed area of 3 meters × 3 meters (approximately 10 ft x 10 ft) for both takeoff and landing. This provides adequate space for the drone's movements and ensures safety margins.
Overhead Clearance: Ensure there is clear and unobstructed overhead space above the designated area. Avoid any overhanging structures, cables, or foliage that could interfere with the drone's ascent or descent.
Following these guidelines will significantly enhance the safety and efficiency of your Fowado CRUZR-L operations.
The Fowado CRUZR-L features a dual battery system, providing enhanced reliability and extended operational time.
Crucially, these dual batteries are hot-swappable. This means you can replace one battery while the other continues to power the drone, allowing for continuous operation without the need to power down the system. This feature is ideal for missions requiring longer flight times or continuous deployment in the field
Operators should never attempt to fly CRUZR-L with only one battery.
The Fowado CRUZR-L is designed as a highly versatile and adaptable platform, capable of integrating a wide range of advanced payloads and accessories to meet diverse mission requirements. Its multi-mission capability is supported by features like 12mm carbon mounting rails, dedicated 50V/30Amp auxiliary power ports, and expansion ports for third-party integration.
Here are some of the key compatible payloads and sensors:
GREMSY LR1 + SONY ILX-LR1: This combination provides a high-quality imaging solution for applications demanding superior aerial photography and mapping. The GREMSY LR1 gimbal is specifically designed to stabilize and integrate the SONY ILX-LR1 industrial camera, offering excellent image quality.
GREMSY VIO F1 EO/IR: For advanced inspection and thermal imaging needs, the GREMSY VIO F1 offers a powerful EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared) solution. This payload typically includes a 4K zoom EO sensor, a high-resolution radiometric thermal camera, and an integrated laser rangefinder, making it ideal for detailed inspections, surveying, and public safety applications.
HESAI XT-32 LIDAR: For precise 3D mapping, surveying, and volumetric analysis, the HESAI XT-32 LIDAR is a compatible and industry-standard solution. This high-precision 360° mid-range LiDAR sensor enables the collection of dense point cloud data for various professional applications.
Open Source for Future Development:
The Fowado CRUZR-L is built with an open-source philosophy, utilizing an enhanced PX4 Operating System and open-source flight controllers like Pixhawk. This commitment to open source provides significant advantages:
Customizability: It allows for extensive customization and the integration of future payloads and sensors.
Innovation: It fosters innovation by allowing developers to build upon the platform and integrate new technologies.
Flexibility: The open architecture means the CRUZR-L is adaptable to grow with emerging technologies and new mission requirements, ensuring its longevity and utility.
This adaptability and support for cutting-edge sensors make the Fowado CRUZR-L a highly capable platform for current and future professional drone operations.
Yes, absolutely! The Fowado CRUZR-L's integrated Dual RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) system is specifically engineered to provide the high level of accuracy required for precision surveying and mapping.
The Fowado CRUZR-L's Dual RTK system makes it a powerful, efficient, and highly reliable solution for professional-grade surveying and mapping workflows.
Please note: A ground station is required for Dual RTK operation.
Yes, the Fowado CRUZR-L fully supports Post-Processed Kinematic (PPK) technology.
While the CRUZR-L features real-time RTK for immediate precision, PPK provides an additional layer of accuracy and reliability, particularly valuable in situations where real-time RTK correction signals might be interrupted or unavailable during flight.
The CRUZR-L is designed to capture all necessary data for robust PPK post-processing. Its memory card automatically stores critical information in the task folder, including:
Photos/Point Clouds: Your captured imagery or 3D data.
GNSS Observations: Raw satellite navigation data from the drone.
Image Log Files: Precise time-stamps of when each image or data point was captured, synchronized with the GNSS observations.
These files can then be used with specialized PPK software after the flight to recalculate highly accurate positions for each data point, often achieving even greater precision and reliability than real-time RTK alone. This ensures that even in challenging environments, you can achieve survey-grade accuracy for your deliverables
Yes! The Fowado CRUZR-L offers robust mission planning capabilities through its integration with Q-Ground Control. This allows users to easily pre-program intricate flight paths, define waypoints, set altitudes, and specify automated actions. You'll achieve precise and repeatable flight execution for all your professional applications.
The CRUZR-L has no restrictive geofencing.
Instead, it provides you with the capabilities to create and customize your own geofencing lines. This allows you to define virtual boundaries for your drone, which is crucial for:
Improved Safety: Preventing flights into unintended or hazardous zones.
Precise Operational Control: Keeping your operations confined to specific project areas or designated safe zones.
Yes, that's correct. The aircraft features built-in programmable fail-safes, such as hovering in place or returning to launch (RTL). These fail-safes activate if the aircraft loses connection with the ground control station (remote controller) or when the battery reaches a critically low percentage, which the user can define.
