FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When does the rental need to be returned?


Your rental unit needs to be returned by close of business (5pm) on the last day of your rental agreement. Units not returned by close of buisness will be billed a late fee at the daily rate of the unit rented. If the overdue charges are denied by the Lessee’s credit card, and the Lessee has not contacted Lessor regarding the late fees, the Lessee understands that Lessee's account can be considered stolen and turned over to the authorities under Florida statute 812.155.




What if the equipment is lost, stolen or water damaged, damaged?


In the event of loss, loss without explanation, stolen, unreturned, damaged beyond repair (including any liquid damage of any sort) or default, Lessee agrees to allow Lessor to charge Lessee’s credit card for the full retail price of a comparable substitute of Equipment based on current pricing from www.fowadotechnologygroup.com plus an additional 3% to cover credit card transaction fees. The full retail price of a comparable substitute will be charged in addition to the late fees assessed prior to deeming the Equipment “lost” or “unreturned.” If the overdue charges are denied by the Lessee’s credit card, and the Lessee has not contacted Lessor regarding the overdue rental, the Lessee understands that Lessee's account will be turned over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution.




Can anyone rent a drone?


Unfortunately, no. FTG rents equipment to professionals already using these aircraft or new companies looking to explore the technology. At the moment we do not rent aircraft to consumer clients for non-commercial purposes. A FAA part 107 remote pilote license is required to rent a aircraft.




How much are the drone deposits?


Drone Deposit Cost: Phantom 4 Pro: $700 DJI Inspire 2 X5S: $1200 Drone rental deposits are refunded to lessee usually immediately after inspection, in some cases within 3 business days.




Can I test fly the unit before leaving with it?


Yes. We encourage test flights at our shop but they are not required. All of our aircraft have already been thoroughly tested and are ready to fly.




How do I pay?


After contacting us and setting up appointment, we will send you two seperate email invoices, one for the drone deposit, the other will be for the amount owed for the rental period. You can pay right from your smartphone or computer via credit / debit card.




What If I crash the drone?


If the drone is crashed, please notify us immediately of the damage and we will assist from there.




I'm from out of state, can I rent a drone with your company?


Yes you can, drone deposit is higher. Please contact us at 813-575-2160 for further details on this.




Do I need a remote pilot license to rent a drone with your company?


Yes
